Lucknow, Dec 19 (IANS) Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi Friday said the party is in 'final talks' with ally Samajwadi Party on seat sharing in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Gandhi, MP from Amethi, reached his constituency on a surprise two-day visit Thursday.

'Yesterday, Gandhi visited a couple of villages and met villagers there,' state Congress spokesperson A.P. Singh told IANS.

Answering questions on the recent Mumbai terror attacks, Gandhi said: 'Whatever I had to say, I said it in parliament.'

He also attended a closed-door meeting with state party leaders and urged them to increase the vote share of the Congress, a local party office bearer told IANS.
