Ranchi, Dec 3 (IANS) Four unidentified criminals Wednesday looted at gun point Rs.175,000 in cash from a bank in Ranchi, the police said.
The criminals arrived in a Maruti van at the Canara Bank branch in the Doranda area of Ranchi around 10 a.m. and entered the bank pretending to be customers. They went into the bank manager's chamber and at gun point looted the cash. They escaped by firing in the air, a police officer added.
The two security guards, posted in the bank, were not present when criminals looted the bank.
