Nepal recalls envoy to India

Kathmandu, Nov 3 (IANS) Nepal's new Maoist government Monday ordered the Nepali ambassador to India, Durgesh Man Singh, to return to Nepal.

 

Singh, an economist and a former student of Indian premier Manmohan Singh, was appointed by the previous government of Nepali Congress Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala.

 

 

The Maoist government has also recalled the ambassador to the US, Suresh Kumar Chalise, who was former foreign affairs advisor to Koirala.
