Astrologers predict Samajwadi Party led coalition govt. in UP

Varanasi, Jan 13 (ANI): Ahead of assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, astrologers on Friday predicted that the opposition, Samajwadi Party (SP) would form a coalition government in the state.

Speaking to reporters, Prasad Dixit, an astrologer, said the stars favoured the Samajwadi Party and it was likely that it would return to power in the state.

"The main role would be of Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party will definitely form a coalition government, either by taking support from Congress or by any other means," Dixit said.

Dixit further predicted that in the upcoming elections in the state, the ruling Bahujan Samaj Party would not be able to wield its magic as they did in the last elections where they had formed the government with majority.

"BSP will try its best to come to power. They will try to put their best foot forward but the differences in the party will be quite evident slowly and steadily. Somehow BSP's political image will fade away and thus they will not come to power with majority," he said.

Another astrologer Raman warned of a close fight between the two main parties of the state.

"We can forecast that these people will not be able to win with complete majority as we cannot see anybody getting majority of votes. So in the coming times there will be some coalition government and we can see that both Mayawati and Mulayam Singh will try to form a coalition government," he said.

Voting in Uttar Pradesh will take place in seven phases starting from February 8 and would end on March 3. The counting of votes would begin on March 6.

The stakes are high in Uttar Pradesh, as the result of the polls in the state broadly indicate trends for the 2014 general elections. (ANI)
