New Delhi, Jan.13 (ANI): The German Government has conferred the country's Order of Merit on Jawaharlal Nehru University academic Professor Ummu Salma Bava.
Professor Bava is currently the Director, Europe Area Studies Programme and Professor for European Studies in the Centre for European Studies, School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
She is also an Associate Fellow of the Asia Society, New York. The Order of Merit is the highest honorary tribute the Federal Republic of Germany can bestow on individuals for services to the nation in the political, socio-economic and intellectual sphere.
Acting Ambassador Meier-Klodt will be handing over the award to Professor Bava on Friday morning at his Delhi residence. (ANI)
