Thomas Newman to score 23rd Bond Film 'Skyfall'

London, Jan 11 (ANI): Thomes Newman will be composing music for the latest James Bond movie 'Skyfall'.

It will be the composer's first 007 film but not his first collaboration with director Sam Mendes.

The US maestro provided the music for Mendes' movies 'American Beauty', 'Road to Perdition' and 'Revolutionary Road', the Daily Express reported.

Newman has been nominated for an Academy Award 10 times without winning gold. He is expected to be among the composers to be considered in 2012 for his work on 'The Help' and 'The Iron Lady'.

Two of his Oscar nods came from Mendes films - 'American Beauty' and 'Road to Perdition'.

'Skyfall' is currently in production in England and will hit cinemas, with Newman's score, in November 2012. (ANI)
