Air Chief reviews operational installations at Jodhpur Airbase
Jodhpur, Jan 10 (ANI): The Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne, reviewed all the operational installations and new inductions at the Jodhpur Airbase on Tuesday.
Air Chief Marshal NAK Browne, who was accompanied by Kiran Browne, President Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA), were received by Air Commodore RN Gaekwad and Rupali Gaekwad on their arrival here.
The Air Chief, who was presented with a Guard of Honour on his arrival, met the station personnel and key appointments. He also visited the units and squadrons based at the station and interacted with the squadron officers.
Addressing the station, Air Chief Marshal Browne said: "As part of IAF's modernisation drive, your base like all our other bases are undergoing a fair amount of transformation. Managing these changes is a challenge before us and I am fully confident that my people are fully capable of meeting these challenges."
"We have identified our training and consolidation requirements as the key focus areas but it is our people who are our real enablers. Their care is most important. As leaders, we must recognise efforts and ensure that they are acknowledged," he added.
This was the Air Chief's first visit to Jodhpur airbase, after taking over as the Chief of the Air Staff on August 1, 2011.
The Air Chief would also be visiting Command Headquarters South Western Air Command (SWAC) at Gandhinagar over the next two days and would be interacting with all the Commanders under the South Western Air Command. (ANI)
