London, Dec 30 (ANI): The kiss between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the balcony of Buckingham Palace on their royal wedding day has been voted the UK's favourite TV moment of 2011.

In a new poll carried out on behalf of telecoms provider Freeview, just over a quarter of those surveyed picked the romantic moment from Kate and William's wedding day, the Mirror reported.

The scene in 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here' when a cockroach climbed up Fatima Whitbread's nose, took the second spot in the list earning 14percent of the vote.

One more royal moment that captured the nation's imagination this year was the appearance of Pippa Middleton at the wedding.

Others on the list included roly poly astrologer Russell Grant being fired out of a cannon during 'Strictly Come Dancing' and Steve Coogan's argument with former News of the World journalist Paul McMullan on Newsnight.

In the poll, the researchers questioned 1,000 adults online.

"Over the last 12 months, viewers across the nation have been captivated by great TV drama, structured reality programmes, compelling soap storylines and of course the royal wedding," a spokeswoman for the company said. (ANI)
