John Terry's residence raided while he plays Premier League game

London, Dec 24(ANI): Chelsea captain John Terry's residence in Oxshott, Surrey was targeted by a group of attackers while he was playing a Premier League match against Tottenham Spurs.

 

Terry's wife Toni, four-year-old children Georgie John and Summer Rose along with Terry's mother and mother-in-law were present at the time when the attack took place.

 

The whole incident has left Terry and his family in shock.

 

Terry had recently hired extra security for his mansion after the spotlight fell on him in media over the charge of racial abuse against him by the Crown Prosecution Service.e is charged for racially abusing QPR defender Anton Ferdinand during Chelsea's game against QPR at Loftus Road in October, The Daily Mail reports.

 

The attackers tried to invade Terry's home by breaking through the border gates with the assistance of a scaffolding pole. But they couldn't succeed with their motives since they were trailed away by the newly hired security officials.

 

The actual motive of the raid behind the attack is still unclear. It is still unknown whether the attackers wanted to damage the property or aimed to commit a burglary.

 

Terry has been a subject of severe media trial since he was a charged for racially abusing Ferdinand.

 

It is also not the first time a footballer's home has been ransacked. Manchester United front man Wayne Rooney's home was attacked last year by an aggressive group of people last year when he was involved in a contract dispute with his club.

 

Peter Crouch and his model wife Abbey Clancy's house in Cheshire was also had their Cheshire home attacked this week. (ANI)
