Bangalore, Dec 17 (ANI): Scores of people attended the 37th annual cake exhibition in Bangalore, where giant size cakes modelled on prominent landmarks were put on display.
The star attraction of the exhibition was a 16.5 feet long and 12 feet high cake modelled on historical monument of Gol Gumbaz. The historical monument model was built using 5,000 kg of sugar and edible gelatine.
"Bangalore expects this exhibition every year during Christmas. It's a season, so it's a regular affair and in Bangalore everybody likes it," said Ramachandran, a visitor.
The visitors appreciated the different models of the cakes displayed at the show.
"I'm very much excited to see this wonderful cake show. Most I liked was that Barbie and that Ferrari car which is over there. I had come here twice last time but this cake show is the best I have ever seen in India," said Chetab, a visitor.
The organisers expect more than 2 lakh visitors to arrive at the exhibition.
"This is the first time probably I am coming to this show. This is the 37th cake show and this is seriously amazing. You can have a look all over the cakes and I just didn't believe that this thing is made out of cake," said Somya, a visitor.
All the structures were made using sugarcane and edible gelatine and colours.
Apart from Gol Gumbaz, the show displayed 16 other miniature structures including F1 Ferrari car, Church, Wind Mill, wedding Cakes, Metro Train, Canon, Titanic, with precision and perfect detailing. (ANI)
