Premier League clubs paid 71.8 million pounds to agents since October 2010

London, Dec 1(ANI): English Premier League clubs paid 71.8 million pounds to agents in the past year, it has been revealed.

 

Manchester City leads the way as the club's owner Sheikh Mansour handed over a staggering 9.66 million pounds to the transfer middlemen, the Sun reports.

 

Figures also show that Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool each paid over seven million pounds to agents during the 12-month period from October 1, 2010.

 

The 71.8 million pounds total was accumulated in 765 transfers, although not every deal involved an agent's fee. (ANI)
