Chandimal, Hafeez fined for showing dissent during Pak-Lanka Twenty20

Lahore, Nov 28(ANI): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Dinesh Chandimal and Pakistan batsman Mohammad Hafeez for showing dissent at an umpire's decision during their teams' Twenty20 international in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Friday.

 

In separate incidents during the match in Abu Dhabi, the players disputed lbw decisions by showing the bat towards the umpire.

 

According to Daily Times, the duo was found to have breached Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct which relates to "showing dissent at an umpire's decision".

 

The charges had been laid by on-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Zameer Haider. (ANI)
