Pak scribes hail ongoing Indo-Pak talks

Wagah, Thu, 17 Nov 2011 ANI

Wagah, Nov.17 (ANI): A visiting delegation of journalists from the Lahore Press Club in Pakistan, have called on both the Indian and Pakistan governments to relax visa formalities so that people from both sides can visit each other.

The 48-member delegation crossed into India on Thursday through the Wagah-Attari land route on the invitation of the Chandigarh Press Club.

The Pakistan journalists supported the ongoing talks between the leaders of two countries and hoped the present government in Islamabad would take determined steps to neutralise terror groups within Pakistan.

The delegation said the common people of both countries did not have any grievance with each other.

They hailed Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement in which he described his Pakistan counterpart Yousuf Raza Gilani as a "man of peace".

They said that they were in favor of the dialogue process continuing between the two countries, as this was the only and right way to address common problems.

Media relations between the Chandigarh Press Club and the Lahore Press Club have strengthened in recent days through visits across the border. (ANI)
