28 militants killed, 12 others injured in Orakzai gunship operation

Islamabad, Nov 16 (ANI): At least 28 militants were killed and 12 others were injured, during the shelling of gunship helicopters in Upper Orakzai Agency on Tuesday.

The activities had reportedly destroyed 11 hideouts of the militants.

Launching a massive operation against militants, the security forces backed by gunship helicopters clashed with militants at Rakhtun and Morghan localities of Dabori area, which is situated some 68 kilometers in north of Gheljo, headquarters of Orakzai Agency, The Nation reports.

On Tuesday early morning, using heavy weapons, artillery and tanks the forces clashed with militants, killing at least 28 militants and injuring 12 others, the sources said, adding that forces had arrested 10 injured militants in the operation.

Dabori area is believed to be still under the control of militants, who keep attacking the forces there. (ANI)
