London, November 8 (ANI): A lost painting of Leonardo Da Vinci will be displayed on Wednesday at the National Gallery in London along with eight more of his 15 known surviving paintings.
The piece was thought to be that of a Da Vinci imitator but art experts pieced together clues that revealed it to be an original, the Sun reported.
The frame, canvas and oils were found to be from early 1500's when Da Vinci was active.
The Christ figure in the painting was similar to the one in The Last Supper and the curls and positioning of his right hand are trademarks of the artist.
The painting is called Salvator Mundi, meaning Saviour Of The World and is now valued at 126 million pounds.
This exhibition - which could be the only time it goes on display in this century - will go on till February 5. (ANI)
