London, Oct 29 (ANI): English Premier League footballer Titus Bramble has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one of urinating in a public place.
The defender was arrested on September 28 on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug.
On 14 October, Bramble was re-arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a second allegation was made.
The 30-year-old player's lawyer, Phil Smith, however said that Bramble 'denied these charges and would be vigorously contesting them,' the Daily Mail reports.
According to the paper, a Cleveland Police official said in a statement that Bramble from Wynyard has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and urinating in a public place and will appear at Teesside Magistrates' Court on November 10.
The first sexual assault accusation relates to an alleged incident in a taxi while the second one, made by a different woman, relates to an alleged offence in a nightclub.
Bramble started his career at his home town club, Ipswich, before he moved to Newcastle United.
He joined Wigan Athletic and then moved back to the North East with Sunderland last year. (ANI)
