London, Oct.19 (ANI): Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini believes the club' performance is improving in the Euro campaign and insists that it can still top Group A.
The Sun quoted Mancini, as saying: "First place is still open in the group. It was so important for us to win this game. When you play in the Champions League for the first time you need to improve game after game and we know we can do better."
Mancini believes it could be just the shot in the arm they need with the return fixture in two weeks' time followed by the clash against Napoli.
He said: "That game in Naples will be very important - that will be the crucial game."
Meanwhile, City skipper Vincent Kompany admitted City are finding life tough on the biggest stage but hopes they can adapt quickly.
He said: "Europe seems to be different for us so far - you cannot underestimate teams like this. (ANI)
