Bangalore, Oct 18 (ANI): The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday adjourned the bail pleas of former Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa, who was arrested in connection with two corruption cases, till October 20.
Justice B V Pinto adjourned the hearing on the application filed on Monday by Yeddyurappa, who had surrendered before the Lokayukta Court on Saturday last after it rejected his bail application.
Meanwhile, Jayadeva Hospital Director Dr C N Manjunath has said that Yeddyurappa is likely to be discharged from the hospital by Tuesday evening.
Former Lokayukta Santosh Hegde's independent inquiry into mining graft in Karnataka, accused Yeddyurappa and other key officials for causing a loss of at least 160 billion rupees to the state exchequer between 2006 and 2010 from illegal mining and a series of abuses.eddyurappa tendered his resignation on July 31 to Governor Hansraj Bhardwaj, following allegations of corruption that was later accepted.
