Supreme Court issues notice to Anna Hazare

New Delhi, Oct 17 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday issued a notice to veteran social activist Anna Hazare on a public interest litigation seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the allegation of mismanagement of funds by Anna's NGO Hind Swaraj Trust.

The court has also issued notices to the Maharashtra government and the CBI on a plea by petitioner Supreme Court advocate ML Sharma.

The petition alleges that Anna's NGO did not keep accounts, from 1995 to 2003, of funds given to it by the Maharashtra government and the Centre.

The apex court has also issued a notice to CAPART, an organization under the Rural Development Ministry, which disburses grants to NGOs. (ANI)
