Mathura, Oct 13 (ANI): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh on Thursday denied any link with Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, who has claimed responsibility for the assault on Supreme Court lawyer and Team Anna member Prashant Bhushan.

"We condemn the attack that has happened (on Prashant Bhushan)," Singh told media persons in Mathura.

When asked to comment on certain images that have surfaced of him standing along with Bagga, Singh said: "There have been some reports in the media about that, but I am not aware of any such picture and hence I cannot comment on the matter."

Bhushan was beaten up by two youth suspected to be from Sriram Sena in his Supreme Court lawyers' chambers on Wednesday as they were upset with his stand on Jammu and Kashmir.

Bagga, who claimed responsibility for the attack on a social networking website said: "(We) hit Prashant Bhushan hard in his chamber in Supreme Court. If you will try to break my nation, I will break your head."

According to reports, Delhi Police has arrested two men, who had escaped after attacking Bhushan.

Indar Varma, one of the attackers, who was arrested yesterday defending himself said: "We were roughed up by his (Prashant Bhushan"s) men. We merely sought an answer from him. He had made a statement in which he had asked for giving Kashmir to Pakistan and this is an insult of our martyrs we would not bear anything like this in India." (ANI)
