Srinagar, Oct.6 (ANI): Kashmiri Hindus burnt a huge effigy of the demon king Ravana at Srinagar's Polo Ground on Thursday.
They observed their Dussehrra festival in the belief that good always wins over evil.
Dussehra celebrations always fall at the end of nine-day festival of Navratra. here are about 10,000 Hindus in the Kashmir Valley, but due to militant-related incidents and tight security, they had stopped celebrating Dussehra.
On Thursday, communal harmony was at its best, with Muslims also joining in the celebrations.
Children of various communities were also seen at the ground with their parents. By Parvez Butt (ANI)
