London, Sept 28 (ANI): Late classical music composer Ludwig van Beethoven's 'lost' work has been reconstructed and is to be aired for the first time after 200 years.
The slow movement which has been pieced together from the legendary composer's earlier drafts was originally written for his string quartet 'Opus 18 Number Two' in 1799 but he decided to dump it to go with another version a year later.
The original movement was delivered to Beethoven's patron Prince Franz Joseph Maximilian von Lobkowitz in 1799 before being replaced with a revised version.
Professor Brian Cooper of Manchester University has been able to reconstruct the lost piece of the composition by reassembling the sketches and filling in the gaps by himself.
Professor Cooper, one of the world's leading experts on the German's works says that they have an idea on how the movement will sound like, although it might not be exact, the BBC reported.
The completed new version will be performed by the university's resident string quartet Quatuor Danel at the Martin Harris Centre in Manchester, England. (ANI)
