Lahore, Sept 20(ANI): Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ijaz Butt, whose tenure as PCB Chairman ends on October 8, is unlikely to get a term extension, as President Asif Ali Zardari, also the patron of the board, had denied meeting him in London, according to a news report.
Butt wrote a letter to Aiwan-e-Sadar, in which he thanked Zardari for reposing confidence in him during his tenure and for extension for a few months, The Nation quoted a 'reliable source', as saying.
Despite Butt's efforts in getting a term extension, it is unlikely that he would get any positive response in this regard from the high-ups, the source added.
According to the source, all close friends of Butt also seem to have refused to help him in getting extension as PCB chief.
So, keeping all this in mind, Butt has now seriously started thinking about saying good-bye to the PCB, the paper said. (ANI)
