Sushilkumar Shinde to embark on five-day US visit

New Delhi, Sep 17(ANI): Union Power Minister Sushilkumar Shinde will be leaving for Chicago and New York on a five-day visit from September 19 to 23.

Shinde will be accompanied by a high level delegation, which includes senior officers of the Power Ministry and CMDs of Power Finance Corporation, Rural Electrification Corporation and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

In Chicago, Shinde will address the 'US-Indian Economic Opportunities and Synergy Summit' jointly organized by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Executives' Club of Chicago.

In New York, besides addressing a press conference organized by the Counsel General of India, he will meet the chief executive officers of various organizations organized by United States India Business Council (USIBC).

He will also deliver closing keynote address at the eighth annual India Investment Forum organized by Institutional Investor, FICCI and IIFL Institutional Equities.

Shinde's visit is expected to bring substantial investment in power sector in India in the years to come. (ANI)
