China to facilitate global investment

Beijing, Sept 9(ANI): China will encourage a positive investment environment in the long- term, the country's Commerce Minister Chen Deming, has said.

China is implementing its strategy of increasing domestic demand, creating huge opportunities for foreign investors, Chen told at the 15th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) forum in Xiamen.

China will make more efforts to increase imports while stabilizing exports, he said.

Chen called on the international community to create an environment facilitating overseas investment to boost confidence in the wake of sovereign debt crisis in major economies.

Chen pointed out that some nations refuse Chinese investors in the name of safeguarding national interests, which is not conducive to coping with the global financial crisis, the China Daily reports. (ANI)
