Washington, Sep 1(ANI): A new Quinnipiac poll has shown that 24 percent of respondents prefer Texas Governor Rick Perry, while18 percent prefer former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney for the 2012 US presidential race.
The poll showed that a narrower gap existed between Perry and Romney than that shown by Gallup, PPP and CNN surveys.
However, it does not actually mean that Perry's lead over Romney has actually narrowed.
It meant that the Quinnipiac poll looked at the race from a different angle as compared to other polls, the Politico reports.
Quinnipiac interviewed 2,730 registered voters between August 16 and 27.
The poll has also shown that there is a little difference between Perry and Romney's performance against US President Barack Obama.
The poll showed 42 percent of voters preferring Perry, while Obama and Romney commanded 45 percent support. (ANI)
