London, Aug 7 (ANI): Nancy Dell'Olio and Sir Trevor Nunn's romance is over, according to reports.

Dell'Olio's friends have admitted that the relationship is in trouble and that the ex-girlfriend of Sven-Goran-Errikson has decided to spend a few days in Costa Smeralda, Sardinia, to give things a second thought.

"Yes, it's true, things are not good between them," the Daily Mail quoted one confidante as saying of their relationship.

Some other friends believe that the timing has come as something of a relief to the director.

"They live in completely different worlds. Nancy is cocktail parties and glamour, glamour, glamour. Sir Trevor is more at home with Michael Gambon and Judi Dench," one acquaintance said.

"All his friends were very surprised when they got together. In London theatre circles, it's a massive talking point. The joke doing the rounds is, when is Nancy Dell'Olio appearing as Lady Macbeth directed by Sir Trevor Nunn?

"He takes his career very seriously and doesn't like being a figure of fun. He has been shocked by the amount of publicity he and Nancy have received.

"She loves that, of course, but it could be quite damaging to his reputation. The honeymoon period is definitely over," the acquaintance added. (ANI)
