Two-year-old infant found alive in crashed Chinese train

Wenzhou (Zhejiang province, China): A two-year-old girl was miraculously found alive in the last carriage of a high-speed train twenty-one hours after it had crashed into the back of another near Wenzhou.

 

According to the China Daily, Xiang Weiyi, from Wenzhou, had suffered no apparent injuries after being trapped in the carriage.

 

She was also not crying when they discovered her about 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, as they cleared the wreckage on a viaduct.

 

"When we found her, she could still move her hands," a firefighter said.

 

She has been taken to No 118 Hospital of the Chinese People's Liberation Army in Wenzhou, he said.

 

The number of confirmed dead stands at 35 and the injury toll at 192. (ANI)
