New Delhi, July 18 (ANI): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned former Telecom Minister A Raja and two others accused in the 2G spectrum scam for around three hours at the Patiala House court complex here on Monday.
The investigating agency questioned Raja, former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura and Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group's (ADAG) MD Gautam Doshi between 2 and 5 p.m. today, NDTV reports.
A Delhi court earlier today permitted the CBI to quiz the three afresh in connection with the 2G scam case.
The latest developments came ahead of the supplementary chargesheet to be filed by the investigating agency in the case.
The court had earlier on July 16 given its nod to the application of the investigating agency that it needed to question the accused afresh 'in the interest of the case'.
Former Telecom Minister A. Raja was forced to resign from the Union Cabinet last year after the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) faulted him for undervaluing spectrum to favour companies who were largely ineligible for 2G spectrum, and added that the government had probably lost Rs.1.76 lakh crore in estimated revenue.
