Pak assures 'full assistance to India' to nab culprits behind 13/7 Mumbai blasts

Islamabad, Mon, 18 Jul 2011 ANI

Islamabad, July 18(ANI): Pakistan has assured India of its cooperation in investigations to unearth militants involved in last Wednesday's triple bombings in Mumbai, which claimed the lives of 19 people and injured over 130 others.

The reassurance came after Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik contacted his Indian counterpart P. Chidambaram.

"Malik assured Pakistan's fullest assistance to India and was confident that the culprits shall be uncovered and brought to book and hoped that the cooperation and good neighbourly relations between the two governments and nations shall continue," the Express Tribune quoted an Pakistan Interior Ministry statement, as saying.

Three coordinated rush-hour explosions had ripped through crowded Mumbai streets on July 13.

The serial blasts had rocked Opera House at 6.54 p.m., Zaveri Bazaar, a popular jewellery market, at 6.55 p.m., and Kabutar Khana, Dadar at 7.06 p.m. (ANI)
