Reviewers slam Palin-documentary for one-sided portrayal of protagonist

Washington, July 17 (ANI): Movie review critics have slammed the pro-Palin film 'The Undefteaed' for its faulty one-sided portrayal of Palin's rise to power in Alaska and national prominence.

New York magazine's David Edelstein said that he forcefully tried to like the film.

"I swear I gave 'The Undefeated' a chance, because who wants to writhe in agony for two hours?" the Politico quoted him as writing.

"I hoped that Director Stephen K. Bannon would show a side of Sarah Palin I'd never seen - I thought it would be so cool if I could give the movie a rave.

"But it's a straight hagiography, without nuance or ambiguity, or the admission of opposing viewpoints - even those meant to be dismantled," he added.

Other reviewers also scoffed at the film calling it propaganda.

Time magazine's Richard Corliss criticised the movie saying that the director "applies so much idolatrous air brushing to his portrait of the Divine Sarah that the movie might be called 'Going Rouge.'"

"The movie may tempt even the most ardent conservatives to emulate their idol's tenure as governor and walk out halfway through," added Corliss.

The movie has recently hit the screens in 10 midsize cities of the USA. (ANI)
