Vanessa Minnillo weds Nick Lachey in 'secret' tropical island ceremony

Washington, July 16 (ANI): Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey privately tied the knot in a tropical island ceremony in the presence of just 35 friends and family, according to reports.

"For us, this is just a stepping stone to do what we ultimately want and that's to start a family together," Minnillo told People Magazine.

The pair, who became engaged in November, flew their wedding guests to the secret location before coming up with the real news.

"Nobody knew where they were going," said Minnillo, 30.

Lachey also added that they kept things very vague to the guests initially.

"Our wedding invitations were in the form of a plane ticket. We told them they were going away and the attire was 'island chic.' It was all very vague," he explained.

While Minnillo was clad in a two-piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble featuring a lace corset with rose and crystal detail, Lachey, 37, sported a Dolce and Gabanna suit.

Their wedding will be televised on a TLC's special called 'Nick and Vanessa's Dream Wedding' on July 30. (ANI)
