New York, July 13 (ANI): A pastry chef at the Plaza Hotel's Oak Room, is suing the restaurant and her former boss Eric Hara, on charges of physical and sexual harassment on a daily basis with food.
Melissa Rodriguez, 27, told the New York Post that Executive Chef Hara would allegedly 'pour food on my hair almost every day: heavy cream, chocolate sauce, honey.'
Rodriguez also claimed he (Hara) 'would literally pick me up and throw me in the garbage can, just because he thought it was funny.'
She alleged that Hara called her 'one-night-stand material', boasted that he could take her to bed, and made her carry eggs in her shirt.
When he didn't approve of her behaviour, she said Hara forced her to break the eggs and rub them on her chest.
In her lawsuit, Rodriguez alleged that after a male employee bragged about his penis, Hara demanded that another female chef measure him with a ruler.
Hara has since left the Oak Room to open his own eatery, 9 Restaurant. He says that Rodriguez is in it for the potential payout.
Rodriguez's attorney Steven Gildin, who also filed a complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, told the Post that his client shouldn't be blamed for not quitting. (ANI)
