Washington, July 12 (ANI): The latest poll has shown that Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachman leads the Republican candidates for the 2012 Iowa caucus.
The Iowa Republican poll revealed that 25 percent of Iowa's likely caucus-goers favoured Bachmann, as compared to former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney, who secured 21 percent votes.
Bachmann's favourability rating was also higher than that of Romney. She beat Romney by a plus 24 margin, the Daily News reports.
The poll confirms Bachmann's growing popularity in Hawkeye state.
Though Bachmann announced in New Hampshire that she would run for the 2012 US presidential elections, she officially kicked off her campaign in Waterloo.
Tim Pawlenty came in third commanding nine percent votes, barely beating fellow Republican Herman Cain. (ANI)
