Dehradun, June 10 (ANI): President Pratibha Devisingh Patil will attend the passing out parade of 546 Gentlemen Cadets at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) here on Saturday.
Patil, along with husband Devi Singh Shekhawat, arrived Dehradun and was received by Uttarakhand Governor Margaret Alva and Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
From the airport, the President was taken in a helicopter to an IMA helipad where Chief of Army Staff Gen V K Singh, IMA Commandant Lt Gen R S Sujlana and Uttarakhand administrative and police officials received her.
A total of 546 Gentlemen Cadets will pass out from IMA to join the Indian Army as officers.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for Patil's visit. (ANI)
