'Hangover Part II' earns nearly double of original in first weekend

Washington, May 30 (ANI): 'The Hangover Part II' has earned 86.5 million dollars in its first weekend, which is almost double what the original had made during its debut.

The original blockbuster comedy had made 45 million dollars in its opening weekend two-years ago, though it did not hit the 100 million dollar mark until its second weekend, Fox News reported.

The movie went on to gross 277 million dollars domestically.

In its first four days since opening, the Warner Bros. sequel has taken in 118.1 million dollars and is on track to finish the long Memorial Day weekend with about 140 million dollars in the bank.

'The Hangover Part II' reunites actors Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis, as they awake in yet another haze and try to piece together the mayhem of their drunken night in Bangkok. (ANI)
