Boy rescued eight hours after landslide in Malaysia

Hulu Langat (Malaysia), May 22(ANI): A boy was rescued alive eight hours after two landslides struck an orphanage at Hulu Langat outside Kuala Lumpur.

 

He was rushed to Ampang hospital, The Star reports.

 

The boy was among 49 people who were attending a motivational course and luncheon at the Rumah Anak Yatim Hidayah at the 14th mile Jalan Felcra Semungkus in Hulu Langat.

 

The landslide, which occurred at 2.30 p.m., claimed 13 lives and buried 25 people.

 

The police said 13 bodies have been pulled out and nine victims taken to hospital. A massive search and rescue operation has been launched for missing victims. (ANI)
