London, May 21 (ANI): Workaholic parents in the UK, who hardly get time and end up in pyjamas to drop their children to school gates, have been asked to dress up properly as it 'doesn't set a good example' for the children.
Head teachers of 11 primary schools have issued letters to request the parents to make sure they get dressed in the morning before dropping their kids to school.
It appears the letters have had an impact in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, as since they were sent out there has been a marked improvement in parents' attire.
Chris Kemp-Hall, headteacher at North Ormesby Primary School, and leader of the group of 11, said that parents should make an effort when dropping off their youngsters.
"As a cluster in east Middlesbrough we work together. We all have the opinion that appearing at school dressed in pyjamas isn't the right way to go about things. It's about setting an example and having self esteem," the Daily Mail quoted Kemp-Hall as saying.
While some parents protested, as they saw no reason of such an order, many parents have welcomed the move. (ANI)
