Kuala Lumpur, May 7 (ANI): Malaysian boxers will undergo intensive training in India in September ahead of the South East Asian (SEA) Games in Indonesia in November.
National Amateur Boxing Federation secretary Maulud Othman said that eight pugilists had been chosen for the 20-day stint in the quest for at least a medal at the regional sporting event.
"We have short-listed the athletes for the training and the National Sports Council has agreed to our proposal," The Star quoted Othman, as saying.
He added that the five boxers taking part at the Arafura Games in Darwin, Australia, were expected to be included in the list for the Indian stint. (ANI)
