Security beefed up across country during festival season

New Delhi, Oct 1 (ANI): The Ministry of Home Affairs is providing ten more companies of Para-Military forces to Orissa to help the State Government in maintaining peace.

 

Four companies of para-military forces are being sent to Maharashtra in view of the festival season.

 

Nine companies of para-military forces are being provided to Delhi police for beefing up security arrangements during the festival season.

 

The country has seen 44 explosions in last 140 days beginning May 13 in Jaipur. The blasts have left 152 people dead and 445 injured.

 

These explosions include the low-intensity bombs that exploded in Mehrauli on September 27th and two in Malegaon and Banaskantha in Gujarat on Monday. (ANI)
