London, Jan 31 (ANI): A private school in Britain run by followers of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the spiritualist who taught The Beatles transcendental meditation, is set to daily impart the technique to students.
The Maharishi School in Ormskirk, Lancashire, will be part of the first batch of education secretary Michael Gove's free schools, that have been opened by parents, teachers and charities but funded by the taxpayer.
"Meditation brings balance to the nervous system. This leads to greater creativity, intelligence and harmony, and better behaviour," the Daily Mail quoted head Derek Cassells as saying.
He added that the school would be run along traditional lines and pupils would study the same subjects as in other state schools. (ANI)

Today's stress levels for kids are out of sight. Its' not like when I went to school. We didn't have metal detectors and murders. Kids today a program for de-stressing and if this one has research behind it and the parents approve I think it's a great idea.
