DURING THE VISIT OF THE BJP PRADESH PRESIDENT WORKERS WILL STAGE A STRONG DEMONSTRATION TO PROTEST AGAINST THE CONVERSION OF POWER CONNECTION OF FARMERS AND BETRAYAL IN THE PAYMENT OF COMPENSATION FOR CROP LOSS
New Delhi, 4th August: Under the leadership of West District President Shri Vinod Sehrawat the workers of North West BJP District staged Dharna at the Office of Power Company NDPL at Narela Mandi to protest against serving notice to convert the power connections of the farmers of the rural areas from agricultural to commercial connection by the private power discom NDPL in which Delhi Government is equal partner.
Besides large number of BJP workers Councillors Shri Mohan Bhardwaj, Smt. Keshrani Khatri, former MLA Neeldaman Khatri, District BJP Leader Shri Lochan Gupta, Shri Suneet Chauhan, Master Jai Bhagwan Yadav, Shri Jitender Khatri, Shri Vedpal Maan, Shri Mukesh Maan and workers of Delhi Dehat Manch participated in the Dharna.
Shri Vinod Sehrawat said that Kejriwal Government has not been impartial with the farmers. Since Delhi Government has 49 percent partnership in the NDPL, it is not possible the decision of the conversion of power connections of the farmers into commercial one may have been taken without the approval of the Chief Minister. He said that shortly the BJP Delhi Pradesh President Shri Satish Upadhyay will visit the rural areas of Delhi and during his visit the BJP workers will stage a strong demonstration to protest against the conversion of power connection and betrayal in the payment of compensation for crop loss.
Former MLA Shri Neeldaman Khatri warned the NDPL official that if the connections of farmers are converted load is increased without any justification or payment is demanded on commercial rates then the NDPL will have to face grave consequences.
