The Difference Between ChampOne C1 And Freedom 251!

New Delhi, Tue, 30 Aug 2016 NI Wire

It won't be an exaggeration if we say that India is one of the biggest markets for smartphones. The market here is so strong that most of the companies which are manufacturing smartphones fight it hard to secure the space.

From high-end smartphones to budget ones and affordable devices, we have now the ultra-budget devices also. These devices come for an amazingly low price and boast of the premium features. A year earlier, we had come across Freedom 251, and this year we have the ChampOne.

Interestingly, Freedom 251 was available for a mere amount of Rs. 251, while the C1 device costs Rs. 501. Moreover, the company which manufactured Freedom 251 was least known and got itself in big trouble as they failed to deliver authenticity with their product. The makers of C1 also are least known and lack authenticity as well. But at this stage we really can't predict if this too will be a scam like the previous ultra budget phone or would prove to be a game changer in its own way.

For now, let us keep aside brand's genuineness and other issues; and only focus on what ChampOne C1 has in offing. If go by the company's official website, the actual price of this ultra affordable C1 is Rs. 7,999 and the Rs. 501 is just a promotional gimmick which sources say would be valid only during the first flash sale. And if this stands true, then it for sure is a great deal. Well, let us see how C1 begs to differ from Freedom 251 which created a lot of rage last year.

Display

The last year device, Freedom 251 sported a 4-inch qHD display which had 960x540 pixel resolution. Its design was very basic, but it did complement its price. As for the ChampOne C1, we can see a major change here for the device sports 5-inch HD IPS display with 1280x720 pixels and 294ppi. Its design is very convincing, and appealing in terms of other competitive smartphones available at the same price of Rs. 7000.

Camera

Next is the camera. The Freedom 251 had 3.2MP back camera with features like AF and for selfies it had a 0.3MP front camera. C1 smartphone on the other hand again scores high with back camera of 8MP with LED flash, AF, HDR and 5MP selfie camera.

Performance

In terms of performance, the Freedom 251 came powered with 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor; coupled with 1GB RAM and it ran on the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Freedom 251 had an inbuilt storage of 8GB, which could be further expanded using a microSD card. Talking about ChampOne C1, it has 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core CPU and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. C1 smartphone is said to be better at multi tasking as it has 2GB RAM with 16GB expandable storage.

Battery and Added Features

The Freedom 251 came with 1,450mAh battery, whereas ChampOne C1 has 2,500mAh unit. The C1 here takes over Freedom 251 with its added features like the dual SIM slot and fingerprint scanner.

Looking at the details, ChampOne C1 does make for a better choice and promises to be more usable than Freedom 251. But the truth would only be out once the device hits the market!

Stay tuned to this space to know more about the device!
