LG Gives A Hint Of G5 In Its Latest X Cam Device!

First it was the RAM size, and then came the battery; and now smartphone makers have got a new fancy - the dual camera. This feature is now gaining momentum ever since the renowned brands like LG and Huawei have incorporated it in their new devices.

But if you thought that this feature was only limited to the high-end devices, you need to read this update. As per the market reports, dual camera setup will now be seen in the budget devices too.

LG had earlier showcased its novel X series at Mobile World Congress 2016 in February 2016. Back then, X cam device featuring the dual camera had become a sensation of sorts.

Following a gap of quite a few months, LG X cam has now arrived in India and is set at a competitive price. LG X cam in Titan silver color is listed as available for Rs. 21,500, on company's official website. However, sources even state that the handset is being sold for Rs. 18,999.

LG X cam was available in the worldwide markets in March 2016, but the company had postponed the device’s release in Indian market.

Features & Specifications

It did take long for the device to land in India but given its reasonable price, the device is a decent buy with some compelling features.

Talking of the features, LG X cam sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display backed by InCell Touch technology, and boasts of a 3D Arc design which has a large camera section at the back. You can find two camera lenses placed alongside an LED flash. The camera of the device is made up of 13MP + 5MP rear camera setup. The second sensor has 120-degree wide-angle lens. For selfies, it has 5MP camera with a Pop Out Picture feature which can combine 6 images into a motion photo alike Live Photos.

Under the hood, the device comes backed by a 1.14GHz octa-core SoC, coupled with Mali-T720MP3 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It has 16GB onboard storage with a microSD card slot that can support up to 2TB. Its microSD card slot also acts as a secondary SIM card slot. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with LG UI 5.0 skin on top of it. The device houses a 2520mAh battery and measures 6.9mm thick. It supports 4G VoLTE, FM Radio and 3.5mm audio jack.

So far, one can clearly see that the major USP of LG X cam happens to be its dual camera setup. However, with this most desired feature, the device lags behind some must have features such as the fingerprint scanner which as we know is nowadays available with most of the smartphones and that too at a pretty fair price.

Well, it would be interesting to see how exactly the new LG X cam fares in the market with its dual camera setup. We are sure it will have many takes and dual camera is a new sensation amidst the smartphone users.
