New Delhi, Wed, 04 May 2016 NI Wire

In search for a smartphone with better camera quality? Well, your hunt might soon end with Moto G (4th Gen), popularly known as G4.

Moto G has had been in news ever since the announcement was made about its launch. And the excitement has reached another level with Lenovo, which owns Motorola, releasing a new teaser enlightening the primary camera features of the device.

On May 2, 2016, they came out with the first teaser of the phone on Twitter. Designed in a funny meme, the teaser has succeeded in rubbing the audience the right way. Its new poster has a teenage girl annoyed about the terribly slow autofocus of her device's camera. Playing it wisely, the company released the teaser ad with the caption as "The autofocus ruined Stacy's 18th birthday picture. Stop #missing on milestones with a better camera. Coming soon! The teaser clearly hints that Moto G4 series are sure to have foremost camera upgrades over its precursor.

Now that the first teaser hints about Moto G4 focusing on "autofocus" element of camera, people have the perception that the device would come decked with laser-supported autofocus - a technology we've seen in most of the recently released mid-range phones.

Let us understand how laser autofocus actually works

The primary camera in the device will have a laser transmitter placed on its back. As this will get activated, the attached transmitter will cast a series of direct imperceptible light rays to the adjacent object which the camera is points at. The light then comes back to the sensor, where camera software evaluates the distance amid the device and object.

And as light has a faster pace of travelling, your device's camera sensors will get to swiftly focus on the thing you wish to capture in the lens. With laser autofocus, your camera would even work during low light - surely a jackpot for all selfie lovers!

Other Features To Consider

The new Moto G is not just special because of the camera - it has some other vital aspects too which you can look forward to. The device is to come in two models - Moto G (4th gen) as well as Moto G Plus. Both of these devices will have 5.5-inch displays and a 16GB inbuilt storage. However, they will differ in terms of primary camera hardware as Moto G Plus will have a better-quality 16MP snapper, the Moto G will come with 13MP shooter.

Next is the fingerprint-backed security that you'll get to enjoy with your Moto G4 device. Biometric technology has been in a rage as we've seen many smartphones making use of it of late. So it really won't be much of a surprise if Moto G4 decides to follow suit.

Another exciting feature is its high-capacity cell. The precursor had a battery of 2470mAH while the latest device is expected to have a matter of 3,000mAH.

Moto G4 is speculated to have a high RAM capacity - which indicates that the phone is likely to come with a minimum of 3GB RAM.

So far, so good! Moto G from Motorola does sound appealing and an exciting option for smartphone lovers. However, the actual verdict will only be out once the phone gets launched and we get to test all the features as mentioned.

For now, we're waiting for the company to host the launch event - supposed to held on May 17 (there's still a wait of 2 weeks). And the way, Lenovo is busy marketing the device; we can surely look forward to some more pleasing teasers and get to know Moto G4 closely!
