But now it has hit Indian market and is available across the stores with a price tag of Rs. 26,999 (approximately $400). As for color options, the device is available in champagne gold and polar gold colors. For now, you can buy it exclusively from Flipkart. Gionee has come up with a super promotional strategy for the device; you can even buy it for an exchange offer up to Rs. 15,000 from the company’s website.
While at the launch, Arvind Vohra, the CEO and MD for Gionee India stated that the company is indeed excited about the launch of M5 Plus in India. He further added that M5 Plus happens to be an ideal expression of a wonderfully designed powerhouse.
The smartphone is built on company’s motto of giving users a stress free experience with little to no battery woes. M5 Plus’ fate is too early to predict but we can surely get to know of it in detail.
M5 Plus: An Overview
The Marathon M5 Plus comes as the descendant of the earlier launched Marathon M5. It comes with a 6-inch AMOLED Full HD display backed by 2.5D glass and Corning Gorilla Glass security. M5 Plus boasts of a full metal body and attractive built. It comes with a fingerprint scanner on the home button. The device measures 160.9x81.2x8.4 mm in height and weighs 208 g.
As seen on papers, the device comes with 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor. It runs Android 5.1 Lollipop which is based on Amigo 3.1 U.
At the storage front the device has a 64GB internal memory and you can expand up to 128GB through microSD card and also has 3GB of RAM. Moving on to the most important feature, camera, the M5 Plus sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture. It comes with features like phase detection autofocus and LED flash. For selfies, the device has 5MP front-camera.
Moreover, the M5 Plus offers great connectivity options which include 4G LTE, dual SIM, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The features and specifications are surely impressive and given the fact that Gionee has delivered some amazing devices in the recent past, we can pin up high hopes with the Marathon M5 Plus as well.
