Bengaluru, Dec 7: The launch of Lenovo K6 Power on Flipkart saw an unbelievably high sale, making the Smartphone an instant hit in India.
The new phone in the K-series was unveiled in India by Lenovo on November 29, 2016 and in association with the exclusive online partner Flipkart. The launch came along with many attractive offers in order to entice the customers and to compete against the big players in the market within the same price segment like Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime, Coolpad Note 5 and Asus ZenFone Max.
The phone went on open sale on December 6 from 12 midnight onwards and prior to that it had already created the right amount of buzz.
As the phone went on live sale, it is estimated that around 1000 units have been sold to customers every minute, which is a huge figure. The company reported that within 45 minutes of the sale being started, the phones went out of stock.
Not only this the number of pre-sale visitors on the Lenovo K6 Power product page was reported to be around 1.3 million while the number of people who took interest in the product, before the sale started, was somewhere around half a million.
Sudhin Mathur, Executive Director of Lenovo Mobile Business Group, India said "Lenovo K6 Power has obviously struck the right chord with the consumers".
The new sensation among the budgeted Smartphones has some great specifications at the price of Rs. 9, 999. To begin with, it has a huge battery of 4000 mAh, which is quite big given that the size of its display is 5-inch. It comes with full HD (1920x1080 pixel) resolution display and the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. The 3 GB RAM, 32 GB of storage coupled with Qualcomm Snapdragon 360 octa-core, 64-bit SOC is another decent feature.
Apart from these, the phone has a 13 MP back camera (with IMX 258 sensor, PDAF and LED flash) and 8 MP front camera (with IMX 209 sensor and wide angle lens). The dual-sim phone weighing 145 grams has stereo speakers and Dolby Atmos audio enhancements for earphone.
The next sale on Flipkart is scheduled for December 13 at 12 noon and the e-commerce company is said to be working hard to get the stock on time. The next sale is being targeted to draw a bigger profit and the efficient phone by the Chinese computing giant can surely achieve that.
