Delhi Police arrests 3 for trying to attack Sheila Dikshit's daughter

The Delhi Police have arrested three people who had made plan to attack Latika Dikshit. Latika is daughter of former Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit. The accused were waiting below Latika's house in Upasana Apartments in Hailey Road, Delhi.

Shashikant Sharma filed a complaint in Barakhamba Road Police Station regarding this. Shashikant is son of Tek Ram Sharma who was a MLA from Saket.
Shashikant has accused Latika's husband Syed Mohamamd Imran for this attempted attack.

On November 17, late night when Shashikant was leaving Latika's house along with Manish Choudhary who is a Congress worker they saw seven people standing behind the main gate and they looked suspicious. Four of them escaped as Police came and three were caught by police.

Latika's husband Syed Mohammad Imran was in Jail last month on Latika s complaint of theft and domestic violence. They got married in 1996 and according to Latika after her mother lost Delhi Assembly elections his behavior changed , he started beating her and once literally killed her . Latika has accused him of stealing some property papers. Latika said he has affair with one of her female relatives.

Sheila dikshit,78, is widow of Vinod Dikshit who was an IAS officer. Her father in law Uma Shankar Dikshit was West Bengal Governor. She has two children .Her son Sandeep Dikshit was a Lok Sabha MP from East Delhi.

Sheila Dikshit was Lok Sabha MP from Kannauj twice in 1984 and 1989. She was Delhi's Chief Minister from 1998-2013. Sheila was Governor of Kerala in 2014 but she resigned after BJP came to power in centre. Sheila is currently Congress Chief Ministerial candidate for next year Uttar Pradesh elections.
