India got unbeatable lead in Test Series

Mohali: India just saved its first Test Series vs England after 2008. India needed 103 runs in their second innings to get an unbeatable lead in the five match Test Series vs England. India scored the required runs with a loss of two wickets.

Parthiv Patel scored an unbeaten 67 whereas captain Virat Kohli was unbeaten on 6. India lost the wickets of Vijay and Pujara. England were dismissed for 239 runs in their second innings.

Ashwin took 3 wickets whereas Jayant, Jadeja and Sami took 2 wickets each for India. Joe Root top scored for England again with an innings of 78 runs after being dismissed again by Jayant. Injured Hameed played a good innings with a score of 59.
