New Delhi, Sun, 06 Sep 2015 NI Wire

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Shri Ajay Maken and NSUI National President Shri Roji John alongwith DPCC Chief Spokesperson Sharmishtha Mukherjee and national office bearers of NSUI introduced the party's DUSU panel to the media today.

Addressing the media, Shri Ajay Maken accused the Aam Admi Party for using government machinery and excessive money in promoting its student wing. He also said umpteenth number of hoardings have been put up by the CYSS all over Delhi on paid sites and bus shelters, costing crores of rupees. This is unprecedented as no paid sites or bus shelters have ever been used or such enormous amount of money spent on Students' Union Elections.

Makan stated ," I started my career as a class representative in Hans Raj College, followed by winning elections of CC, EC and also the DUSU President but I have never seen such large scale use of money power'. He also mentioned that the Congress party keeps the NSUI at an arms length and doesn't get involved in its working; even when Smt Sheila Dikshit was Chief Minister for 15 years, not once were her pictures used for DUSU elections. On the other hand, the current Chief Minister has used his pictures all over and also participated in a rock show held at Talkatora Stadium.

Shri Roji John before introducing the panel to the media had said, "We are confident of winning the DUSU elections as we have a very strong and capable panel.

Shri John introduced the candidates to the media Pradeep Vijayran for President, Prerna Singh for Vice President, Amit Sehrawat for Secretary and Deepak Choudhary for Joint Secretary.
